HERSHEY'S "PERFECTLY CHOCOLATE" Chocolate Cake


Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups Sugar
  • 1 3/4 Cups  All purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 3/4 Cup Hershey's Cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 Cup boiling water
For Frosting
  • 4 ounces (113.4 gm) of White Choc
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 5-6 cups powdered sugar
  • 2-4 tbsp heavy cream

Method

  • Preheat oven to 176 degree C.
  • Stir together sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl.
  • Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla essence to the above mixture
  • Beat on medium speed for 2 mins.
  • Stir in boiling water. The batter will be very thin.
  • Pour batter into prepared pans
  • Bake for 30-35 mins.
White Choc Butter Cream Frosting

  • Melt the white choc in microwave in 15 sec bursts, stirring well between intervals, until completely melted.
  • In a mixer cream butter and vanilla essence until smooth.
  • Add white choc and mix until well combined.
  • Add powdered sugar a cup at a time until it reaches a spreading consistency.
If the frosting seems dry, add a little heavy cream, a couple of tbsp at a time until a smooth consistency is reached.
